Busy signal…

by Rosemary ~ March 12th, 2007

For the past several days I haven’t been able to read blogs or write very much on my own because other duties took me away from the computer. On Wednesday, my husband and I are thrilled to be able to take a trip together to attend a conference, something we haven’t been able to do for years due to family responsibilities. If you don’t hear a lot from me for a few days, you’ll know why.

We just spent the weekend with 31 couples who are ‘alumni’ of our counseling ministry. It was an absolute thrill to see them and hear them speak of God’s continuing work in their lives. As they sat listening to my husband’s teaching, I looked from couple to couple, remembering many of the issues that brought them to Stone Gate. Only the grace of God can account for the change in their lives and on their faces. It makes me love God more. And it makes me so, so grateful for the privilege of being a part of what God is doing.

    Rosemary,
I am so glad you and Harry get a time to get away. I pray God blesses that time. It is so neet to hear about the alumni retreat. I know how God has used your ministry this past year in my life and marriage. Know that God is doing great works through you and Harry. Praise our wonderful, powerful and sovereign God!

Hi Rosemary! Hope you guys have a wonderful weekend away…just the two of you. I read a past blog from July. It was about self pity. Boy, I could write a novel about mine and how easy it is for me to go there. Sometimes I find I give into it right after I have had a really good few days or weeks or even times when I feel so close to God. Sometimes it trips me up and I’m able to get through it no problem and other times I pull up my recliner and lounge in it. Another constant battle and reminder of habitual repentence and knowing on my own I am doomed to fail, but with God all things are possible.
    Jennifer
