“A Slice of Infinity”

by Rosemary ~ July 24th, 2007

If you’re not yet a reader of “A Slice of Infinity,” the daily post from Ravi Zacharias International Ministries, I suggest that you add it to your RSS subscription. I’ve been a subscriber for a few months, and it’s a favorite read of the day. These folks are deeper thinkers than I am, and they challenge me to pay attention, to look beneath the surface of scripture and events to see God at work not only in my life, but in our church and our culture. It is then that I can respond more clearly to those who question God’s activity–or perceived lack of activity–in their lives and in the world. Here’s how they describe their purpose:

We have a genuine burden to offer a powerful option of hope and meaning. We understand the confusion and cynicism that are so much a part of our world, and we recognize the longings of the human heart. By stirring the imagination and engaging the mind, we want to share the beauty and truthfulness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. “A Slice of Infinity” is essentially our gift and invitation to you, that you might further examine your beliefs, your culture, and the unique message of Jesus Christ.

Today’s post, Rest for the Weary, is written by Betsy Childs, and I commend it to you. After reading that post, you can spend a very profitable slice of your day perusing the archives.
