The snow has ended, and we have an accumulation of between two and three feet. Our covered porch doesn’t usually get anything but a dusting of snow, but this time our twig chairs got covered. The lump in the corner is actually a birdhouse on a twig table.

Our lab, Libby, usually likes to romp in snow, but this time the cold and blowing seemed to be too much for her ‘delicate sensibilities,’ and she didn’t venture out much beyond what we insisted.

Instead, she preferred creature comforts. That is, people comforts. She is NOT allowed on our sofa,
but she crawled ever so stealthily onto the cushions–brazenly, right in front of me–like a dog who is quite used to such behavior. Perhaps when we’re not home?

I made her get down right after I took the picture. Have to admit, she does look kinda cute…
